Over the past week or so I've heard from a lot of players that they didn't get to test the Quesh Huttball Pit on PTS. I had gotten quite a few games in on Day 1, but hadn't been queuing recently because my PTS time had been spent elsewhere. Namely dying numerous times to Brontes. Road (my Torocast host) was one of these players, and so we teamed up with our Twitter friends to set up an event on PTS to encourage players from all the different servers to log on and get some testing it. It was definitely a fun and chaotic event, and it was nice getting to play with players I know on different servers. PTS is the closest thing to cross-server that SWTOR will have, so killing Road a few times isn't something I normally get to do (& relish in)!
I personally enjoy the new map. It has great areas for knock backs, pulls, passes, and the placement of the (bugged) sludge traps create difficulty. The grapple table is also an interesting and fun addition, even if it was buggy. Being a three level map, coordination definitely helps with your teammates. And if you have a sniper, or really any ranged class, be prepared to love the pipe over the middle platform.
In all, I played less than 10 games though. The bugs present were frustrating for many players, and they only stuck around for a few games. Many of these bugs were present Day 1 of PTS, and I was very surprised that even with a PTS patch last week they did not get fixed. I really don't think invisible acid is the intended mechanic. I also experienced a few miscasts on the Grapple Table, and my passes not exactly going to the intended target. Or near the intended target. The "Double Jump" bug is still present, but that seems to be just one of those constant PvP problems, but really makes a difference on a map like Quesh Pit. We also noticed near the end that while 8-10 people were queued, there were no warzone pops. Even though earlier in night I had played 4v4 games.
Aside from the new warzone though, bolster has been reworked (fixed?) from what I can tell. I was rocking the 46 blue armorings, mods, and enhancements in my Main Hand/ Off Hand with power crystals, but my expertise was down to 1936 so I dusted off my Obroan set.
