In the past, Win Trading was one of the blemishes on Seasons 2 and 3 of the Ranked scene. While mostly rampant in Ranked Team queues, the behavior also happens in Solo queue. This week, Eric Musco made a Dev Post regarding Win Trading in Ranked PvP; letting us know that it’s an issue the Devs are aware of and hoping to combat. The post talks about how they identified Win Trading in the past and how they're hoping to counter it in the future.

It’s 317 days until Episode VII and that means the sweet, sweet, Star Wars hype train is starting. I’m fully booked with first class seats and can’t wait to be bombarded with things to go on my wishlist. Movies, games, merch, swag...it's all coming my loves. The things you loved from the past are going to live again, and they're going to be all around. I’m not really the type of girl who plays it safe or follows the rules. I’m loud, opinionated, and more than willing to talk about the things most people are too afraid to say out loud. With Geekdom changing and gaining in popularity, the range of nerd has definitely broadened. I’m sure you know and raid with a few sloppy drunks and sexual deviants. But that doesn’t make me, or them, any less a geek. We just live large and walk on the Wild Side. And while it’s a little late for Christmas, I think everyone can appreciate and giggle at these nods to the Fandoms…in a kinky way. Anyone who has spent some time in the new Hard Modes operations will tell you one thing; melee is worthless, pointless, and it’s best to reroll ranged. Maras, Jugs, Sins, and Ops are DPS of the past; subbed out and switched for their 30 meter brethren who can bring more to the table after balance and class changes. But, is this rush to pew pew over stab stab simply a trend based on what’s being played at the top? Or, is the reign of the ranged something more? If you haven’t been hiding out on an asteroid inhabited by a giant space slug, then you’ve heard about the current Ravagers Exploit. If you haven’t, the quick and simple is that by some flaw or bug in the lockout and loot systems, the last boss of Ravagers (the extremely buggy on launch) Cortanni is broken. She is this expansion’s loot piñata, and the fallout affects numerous aspects of the game. Not just those PvE try-hards.
It’s December 31 and I can’t help but be a little nostalgic. It’s been an exciting year for SWTOR, and me too, and I can’t help but look back and forward to reminisce and contemplate the good and bad. So, even though every other Blogger has beaten me to it and posted their 2014 Wrap-ups and 2015 Wishes, here is mine. Appreciate the sarcasm (or don’t) and writing style my English teachers hated. And remember, it may not seem like it, but I love this game. Before I go lose myself down the rabbit hole of Strongholds on PTS, I wanted to get this blog written... With Season 2 coming to a close, I’ve been putting in some Solo Ranked time on my Operative. The Sorc technically has 1500, but I’ve got a pretty good chance on my Op of getting there and being able to reach whatever they set as Rank 1 this Season. 8-2 so far! Bastion is a rough server though. The trolls are in force and everyone has just started to take it in stride that certain players are only in queue to AFK as soon as the game starts. It’s remarkable to me how same players just grind through it, I get really annoyed. But, I’ve learned a few things from the pro’s... When you hit 55 on a new character, or start to do something new in game, gearing can sometimes get a little overwhelming. Sure, you can go find the guide written by (insert name here), but you’re so far from BiS you haven’t even seen Dread Fortress or Palace. Raptus who? And let’s be honest, gearing is expensive as hell. Augments aside, crafted gear, token gear, it can take a while to gather it all. Not to mention confusing to keep it all straight. If you’re just starting out or dabbling on an alt, here’s some basics you should know and a few tricks to help you out. |
